A 1931 Art Deco Landmark on Theater Row
The hotel occupies the Tower Petroleum Building. Mark Lemmon designed it in 1931 in the Zig-zag Moderne style. It once held the lobby of the Tower Theater on Elm Street's Theater Row and became a Dallas Landmark in 1990. It reopened in 2022 as a 177-room hotel.
A name rooted in music
Named in honor of New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint, the restaurant reflects the hotel’s connection to music through its atmosphere, soundtrack and guest experience. Every guest room features a record player, carrying that connection beyond the restaurant.
